The episode was a complete trainwreck. I fast forward watched it and could barely stomach the Chair scenes. I don’t understand the direction the writers are taking….it makes no sense tbh.
The emails…hmm. Maybe the ones Blair sent to Dan in the episode and he deleted near the end. She was like pleading for him to talk to him in them. That may be it…

Dair = Pure and Simple vs Chair = Destructive and All-Consuming.
It doesn’t make sense. Chuck and Blair aren’t like couples in real life. People in real life who want to be together forever generally tend to act in love and not say it over and over like they are trying to prove something. Chuck and Blair are fictional, but they should emulate some realistic couple out there.
How many couples do all the shit they do?
Sell’s the woman they love for a hotel?
I do not know of anyone who would do that and still be okay with loving them. I just cannot accept this show. the OMFG moments in the first season were gritty and amazing, but know they are seriously fucking annoying.
Dair was the shows redemption and they fucked it up, but I have been fucked over by countless shows. I think one more will be fine to deal with. Plus we have season 6.
Dair endgame is still a possibility.
I love debating and discussing Dair in great detail.
